Top Post 10/17/11 – 10/23/11

If you’ve been reading since I began the blog at the beginning of this month, then you know that I only post 3 times a week. (Monday, Wednesday and Friday)

Beginning this weekend, I am going to repost the link to the top post of the week then, on the last Sunday of the month, I will give you the top 3 posts of the month prior.

Without further adieu, here is the top post for the week: Do You Love Your Ex?

Did this post speak to you at all? If yes, what did it say? If no, why not?

Do you love your EX?

I feel like every wedding I have been to (except my own) has had 1 Corinthians 13:4 in it. It’s commonly used before the marriage, but what about after? If you’re divorced, have you ever put your name where “love” (or “it”) is supposed to be when it comes to relating to your EX?

13:4
Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.

Try it.. are you living up to this standard recited at so many weddings?
